Josemar Oliveira — "Jay" to the reviewers who name him — has run it since 1998 according to its Angi profile, and the work customers describe is interiors, exteriors, cabinets, and the plaster and drywall repair that comes before the brush. The written accounts on Angi run from 2016 to May 2023, 22 of them behind a 4.8 across 103 ratings, the same figure HomeAdvisor carries. They keep circling back to prep. In an August 2017 review, a homeowner whose walls were in poor shape said the crew repaired and prepped them until they looked new, and that Jay's men arrived on time every day. A June 2018 customer hired him for a townhouse interior and the kitchen cabinets, and singled out one thing: he was the only painter who said he would take the cabinet doors off to paint them. Quoting comes up nearly as often as the painting. A June 2020 review covered exterior painting of a five-bedroom house with carpentry done first, including a garage window; a May 2023 customer who hired the crew to paint the interior went on to have them remodel a bathroom; and both Angi and HomeAdvisor list hardwood floor sanding and installation among the services. Angi, HomeAdvisor and BuildZoom each list Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration #197062 for the company, and both Angi and HomeAdvisor list a Benjamin Moore affiliation. For a full interior repaint with the cabinets included, or exterior work that needs carpentry and patching before paint, this is that kind of crew. Ask for the quote broken down room by room the way earlier customers got it, check the registration number yourself on the Massachusetts register, and ask for a certificate of insurance before the first day.
