DIY Solar Company is a Duxbury solar outfit, and Matt is the name customers keep mentioning. Google shows 4.7 stars from 18 ratings, with written reviews from 2022 to 2025. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration (#203239, held by The DIY Solar Company) is expired. Several customers came to Matt with systems another company had put in. In an April 2025 review, a customer who needed a new roof said Matt found a roofer and coordinated removing the panels, roofing and reinstalling the solar within a couple of weeks. A June 2024 reviewer said he got SolarEdge to honor a warranty, and a March 2024 customer said he sent his electrician out quickly to fix a complex problem on another company's system. In a February 2023 review, a customer said DIY Solar got their system running after the original installer went out of business. A March 2023 reviewer described a new 10k system with battery backup replacing a 13-year-old one. In an August 2023 review (2 stars), a customer said the project took about 6 months to finish, that Matt subbed out the work, and that they were asked to pay DIY by credit card so he could pay the tree contractor upfront; the electrical contractor on the job later repaid what they were owed.
