Dog Guard of New Hampshire pairs underground dog-fence installation with training for the people and pets using it. The Bedford business says it has served the area since 2015 and is family owned and operated by Gary and Julia Knowlton and Glenn Gosselin, within the Dog Guard network. An August 2026 Google reviewer describes receiving a quote quickly, scheduling installation a few days after first contact, and Gary patiently training a shy dog. Another August reviewer says Gary stayed until they returned from work to explain how to train their dogs; the dogs were using the system independently two days later. That customer also describes a house visit to fix a collar when it needed repair. A separate reviewer credits Gary with explaining the fence limits and working through different scenarios with their dog, Archie. Customers also describe help after installation. An August 2026 reviewer who had used Dog Guard for four years praises Gary's responsiveness and quick help with collar problems. A Maine customer writing that month says Gary had assisted with their fence since February 2021, answering questions by phone and FaceTime, and later helping set up flags and offering training advice during a visit to Maine. Older accounts give specific repair examples. In an October 2025 review, a customer said Gary arrived within two days of their call about multiple underground wire breaks, located the damage, and finished the repair within an hour of arriving. The customer said another company had installed the fence. A November 2025 reviewer with a different brand of containment system described Gary checking continuity and tightening connections, restoring its warning band. An August 2025 customer said Gary repaired the fence line after driveway replacement and had helped with dog training and questions. Containment results vary in the customer accounts. One August 2026 reviewer says their dogs had never escaped, while Kevin and Nancy Sharkey, also writing that month, describe a Golden Retriever that frequently crossed the fence line. They had sought advice and collar upgrades from Gary and remained happy with his product and responsiveness. Their account describes continued support alongside a containment problem, rather than a guarantee that every dog will stay inside the boundary.
