The name says carpentry, but the permit trail says otherwise: four of Dussault Carpentry's eight permitted jobs are bathroom gut-and-replace remodels, including a $12,000 renovation on Oak Knoll Road in Methuen and two second-floor bathrooms in Westford at $13,500 and $8,500. The company works out of 990 Johnson Street in North Andover under Daniel Dussault, who is named as both owner and responsible person. Its stated line of work is framing, decks and porches, deck repair, cabinets, and doors and windows — and the permits back that up too, with a nineteen-section run of exterior kitchen cabinets and granite counters built onto a porch in Salisbury, front-window replacement in Peabody, and a deck permit in Tewksbury. That spread — Methuen, Westford, Burlington, Melrose, Salisbury, Peabody, Tewksbury and North Andover — is the useful thing about this outfit. Pulling permits is not universal among small carpentry shops, and the jobs on record are real, dated and valued. What is missing is any customer voice at all. BuildZoom has received no reviews for the company and still invites the first, and its BuildZoom score of 91 should not fill that gap: that number is built from permits and licence records, not from anything a homeowner said about the work. On credentials, BuildZoom lists a Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration for the company, number 149853, and says it checked that record as active in July 2026 under the name Dussault Carpentry. That is the directory's claim rather than a check we made, and the issue date it prints, February 2026, sits oddly against permits running back to 2012. A sensible call for a deck, a porch, framing, cabinets or a bathroom rebuild in the Merrimack Valley — particularly if you want someone who pulls the permit rather than working around it. Since there are no reviews to lean on, ask for two or three recent customers you can phone, look up registration 149853 yourself on the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation site, and ask for a current certificate of insurance before work starts.
