Dutra"S Renovation

Dutra'S Renovation is a small, Somerville-based handyman outfit run by Naama Dutra, with 11 years in business and two employees. On Thumbtack, where the company is background-checked, the profile lists a long menu of small-project work: appliance hookups, drywall, trim, window and garage-door repairs, closet builds, the kind of jobs that don't need a general contractor but still need someone reliable. The clearest account of the work itself comes from an April 2025 review: a customer who hired Dutra'S to redo a bathroom ended up having the crew remodel a bedroom and finish a basement too, delivered in the time quoted and at no extra cost. Two other reviews, from late 2024, single out responsiveness and punctuality along with prices they call very affordable. All four of the company's Thumbtack ratings are five stars, though the written reviews on file run from late 2024 into early 2025 rather than the past few months, so there is no more recent account to point to yet. There isn't much here to raise as a concern. No complaints turn up in what's available, and the pattern across reviews is consistent: on budget, on schedule, easy to reach. For a smaller job, a repair, an install, a room refresh rather than a full renovation, the reviews suggest a crew that follows through on what it quotes. Worth confirming current availability and getting a firm quote before booking, especially for anything larger like the bathroom-to-basement project described above.
