Duy's Floors

Sanding newly installed red birch and uncovering white oak beneath an old rug are two jobs customers described hiring Duy’s Floors to do. In a November 2025 Google review, a customer said Duy and his crew sanded and finished red-birch flooring. An October 2025 reviewer described two days of bedroom-floor work: the crew removed the rug and baseboards, then sanded, stained and finished the white oak underneath. The company is based at 33 Cheever Street in Worcester. It says Duy Nguyen founded the business in 2006 and remains its owner. Its website describes hardwood installation, sanding, refinishing, staining and repairs, including stairs and water- or pet-stain work. Google gives the business 4.9 stars from 63 ratings. A January 2025 reviewer described refinishing the living room, entryway, dining room and stairs. That customer said the team arrived punctually every day, completed the work within the promised timeframe and left the house clean at the end of each day. In an October 2024 review, another homeowner described a property visit and estimate, followed by a wait of a few weeks for the scheduled work. Duy responded to questions during that wait, and the crew then removed carpet and the material underneath, disposed of it and refinished the hardwood. The customer said the project took three days and Duy communicated daily about progress. An August 2024 customer described replacing old upstairs carpeting with natural red-oak hardwood and installing a new handrail. In a November 2023 review, another customer said the team refinished hardwood in two rooms and installed new flooring in a third. That reviewer said Duy answered questions and explained that some transitions or discoloration would remain visible in the older floors; they were pleased with how the old and new flooring tied together. Repair work appears in a March 2022 homeowner’s account. After the customer removed a wall, carpet and adhesive-backed tile, some flooring was dark and damaged, with a large uneven gap where the wall had stood. The homeowner said Duy restored the floors within the quoted timeframe and price. A January 2024 reviewer described asking numerous questions about a badly worn wooden floor and receiving prompt replies and advice from Duy. They hired the company for sanding and said the work took three hours. When some spots bubbled up, the customer said Duy came over to sand them at no extra charge.
