A 2025 customer who lives in an 1896 Portsmouth house with curved-glass windows said they hired Dylan to restore those windows rather than replace them with flat modern ones. That 2025 customer said he took out the old glazing, repaired one of the sashes, scraped off the old paint and repainted in his shop, and replaced eight of the bent glass pieces. The same 2025 customer listed a solid mahogany door threshold among other carpentry projects around the home. A residential architect wrote in 2025 that Dylan re-created a 19th-century diamond pane window lost in a house fire, working from photos and some basic dimensions, down to the muntin profiles, antique glass and putty glazing on the exterior. That 2025 reviewer said the work was produced on time and that he used antique lumber. A 2025 customer said their old, cracked windows were restored and described him as communicative, tidy and punctual. A 2024 review signed from Kittery, Maine, described rehanging doors and repairing vintage brass locks so the doors would close properly, rebuilding an interior staircase, converting an old dining room into a pantry with plaster wall repairs, and turning a spare bedroom into a dressing room. That 2024 review said he designed and built new cabinetry and an island. A 2024 customer said he had built multiple things on an 1872 barn. A 2023 customer said Dylan built their kitchen cabinets up to the ceiling before they were painted. A 2023 customer said he helped with the entryway of a rotted old colonial. A 2023 customer said he built a custom firewood rack and tool set, worked with them through the design process, sent updates and pictures as it progressed, and completed it right on time. A 2024 customer said he agreed to a Sunday pickup, then did not answer their Saturday messages until 9:30 pm, when he said he had decided to deal with someone else.

We live in Portsmouth in an 1896 house with circular turrets and curved-glass windows. When we moved in two years ago, the original curved-glass windows were still in place, but in bad shape. Rather than replace the curved windows with flat modern windows, we hired Dylan to restore the windows to their original (or even better than original) glory. He did a masterful job, taking out all the old glazing, repairing one of the sashes, sanding and scraping off all the old paint and repainting beautifully back in his shop. He also replaced eight of the bent glass pieces for us. He has also done several other carpentry projects around our home over the past two years, including a solid mahogany door threshold. He has been a delight to work with, and his work is of the highest quality. I can't recommend him highly enough.
I can't recommend Dylan enough! He is communicative, tidy, and punctual. His work is perfect. He's very precise and thorough and my old, falling apart, cracked windows have been restored to their 1863 glory. It's rare to find the craftsmanship and expertise Dylan offers.
As a residential architect specializing in renovating older and historic homes, I know what proper detailing on antique windows and doors should look like. I recently hired Dylan to re-create a 19th-Century diamond pane window that was lost in a house fire, and using photos and some basic dimensions, he made an incredible, historically accurate and EXACT match of the original, right down to the proper muntin profiles, antique glass, and putty glazing on the exterior. Even to my eye, it is virtually indistinguishable from the original. The skills and knowledge he has are swiftly becoming lost, and he is one of the rare ones that can still do this kind of work, and do it well on top of it. He was incredibly responsive and professional, produced the work on time, and was a total pleasure to deal with. He went above and beyond, and even used antique lumber. If you are in need of custom historically correct architectural elements, either for a restoration or re-creation in the New England area, he's the best I've ever seen. He gets my highest professional recommendation, and I look forward to working with him on similar projects for myself and my clients in the near future.
Dylan is the most honest and talented person I've come across in the trade world! He has built multiple things on an 1872 barn for me, and I've always been 100% satisfied! Give him a try. You will not regret it!
He makes promises with no intent in keeping them. He is also a liar. Not sure how he got these other reviews but beware! This review is 100% accurate. Not defamatory or untrue. I asked him could I pick up on Sunday, he told me, and as the message shows, "Yeah, for sure, shoot me a message on Saturday." And although I messaged him several times on Saturday, as per our conversation, he ghosts me until 9:30 pm to tell me he decided to deal with someone that day instead of going with the conversation we had the day prior. Not high morals! Next time you intend on backing out of a deal at least have courtesy to inform the person who you initially agreed to deal with and it would save everyone the headache. Apparently the days of someone giving you their word are gone.
