Earth's Echo Stoneworks is a stone masonry and hardscape outfit built around custom work — patios, walls, water features, and artisan stonework and sculpture — rooted in a philosophy of using stone sourced both on-site and from around New England. The team, led by someone named Chris (working alongside Matt on at least one job), describes itself as 'a collective' rather than naming a formal owner, and takes on both homeowner projects and institutional clients like the Andres Institute of Art and Big Bear Lodge, according to a recent review. What stands out across six 5-star reviews spanning 2024 to 2026 is craftsmanship that holds up under scrutiny after the fact: in a 2024 review, one homeowner said a stone veneer added to two wooden columns 'looks original to the house,' and another described the crew as always on time and meticulous while fixing a pool waterfall, adding that pricing was 'fair and transparent... no surprises.' In 2025 reviews, a homeowner whose front patio had been torn up for plumbing work said the team carefully salvaged and reused the original stone to rebuild it, and a separate customer commissioned a custom memorial sculpture for a family lake house, working closely with Chris through a multi-step design process. A recent 2026 review said the crew 'identified issues we didn't even know about' during a job. There isn't much to flag here: no negative reviews turned up, and nothing about pricing disputes, missed schedules, or unfinished work shows up in what customers have written. Google's own star widget shows just one rating on file, even though six written reviews are there — worth knowing if checking Google directly, since the page undercounts what's actually been posted. This is a good call for a custom hardscape or stonework project — a patio, a veneer, a water feature, or something more artistic like a sculpture — where salvaging and reusing existing material matters. Confirm current availability and get a written estimate before booking — neither one shows up in what customers have said.
Chris and his team has done a ton of work for Andres Institute of Art and Big Bear Lodge over the past several years. They do fantastic work and we highly recommend them
I decided to copy and paste my review from Facebook because of how much I appreciate the Earth’s Echo! Here’s the original Facebook review: Amazing experience with Earth’s Echo. Chris and his crew came out, identified issues we didn’t even know about, and exceeded all expectations I had. Communication was great, timing of the job was solid, and they had wonderful ideas for the design we needed. They also suggested a really cool pattern in my stone walk way that they did BY HAND in order to have the slabs of granite that were installed to have more of a custom look. All in all, I am so thoroughly impressed with their work. Anyone who is a perfectionist like me who appreciates other artists and the perfection they bring to their work should absolutely hire Earth’s Echo for their next project.
Two time customer here. The second time I hired Earth's Echo was to commission a specialty memorial sculptor to be placed at a family's lake house. From start to finish Chris and I worked closely together in designing, redesigning, and creating alternatives throughout the process. Including even an inspirational trip to NYC as part of research and development. I worked with Earth's Echo in the stone yard and in choosing the exact material that I wanted to represent a family member we lost in 2020. After a year of work in progress and process, Chris and his team arrived to my lakehouse to install our sculpture. A month later I invited him back to join my family in the unveiling and dedication. 20 people gathered and when we pulled the tarp off of our piece, a large gasp came about in the air. My family could no be more pleased, touched and honored to have Earth's Echo memorialize and help us process, creating such a special place in our family's sanctuary. I can't comment enough on the amount of heart, respect, and skill this company represents to me. From art and sculpture to formal patios, walkways and stonescapes, there is no other company I would turn to or recommend besides them.
Earth's Echo came through for me in an amazing way. My house had some plumbing issues resulting in my front patio being completely torn up. I urged the contractors to carefully stack the stonework so I could get an estimate and reuse the stone to rehabilitate my patio. Chris and his team came in and jigsaw puzzled my paved patio to a better condition that when I originally bought the house. I could not be happier with the craftsmanship, timeliness and final product
We hired Chris and Matt to add a stone veneer to the two wooden columns in front of our house. We couldn't be more pleased with how everything turned out. The columns look wonderful and the stone veneer looks original to the house. Their work was well conceived and carefully executed. Moreover, they were a pleasure to work with. Professional, polite, and most accommodating. Look forward to working with you again in the future. Thank you both!
