Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from East Coast Metal Roofing, LLC. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
A square is 100 sq ft of roof surface — bigger than the floor plan because of pitch and overhangs.

A customer in April 2026 who had taken three bids, and who says he is hard to please, counted what the crew left behind: four nails. They swept, ran a magnet over the yard, put tarps down and worked twelve-hour days. That is what East Coast Metal Roofing's customers write about most — a large, organised project that lands when the salesman said it would. The Oxford company sells and installs metal shingle systems in aluminium, copper and zinc, plus low-pitch PVC roofing and solar, across New England and into Florida, and its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active. The product is the pitch, and some of the accounts come years after the install: a January 2026 reviewer said the ice buildup on her house stopped in the eight years since the metal went on, and another that month had a piece of metal lift around a skylight in high winds five years after the job and had it repaired within 24 hours. On Reddit in April 2022 a homeowner in Hollis, New Hampshire called them pricey but wanted it one and done; a Massachusetts commenter the same week said metal shingle made sense on a complicated roof where most of the cost is labour anyway. Price is where the conversation usually goes. A Reddit poster in April 2022 said his quote came to $98,500 for 4,800 square feet including gutters. In January 2026 a one-star reviewer arguing about cost said the company charges $1,500 to $2,000 a square where others charge around $1,000. Several customers mention the absence of a hard sell — including one in April 2026 who decided not to go ahead and still recommended the product specialist he met. Two customers describe what happened after the install. In April 2024 one said his roof was still leaking 14 months and $25,000 later, with photographs taken by the chimney repairman. In February 2026 another said a $35,000 roof installed two years earlier had begun leaking and the company declined the warranty claim, attributing the damage to ice dams. Cleanup comes up too: a June 2026 customer had no complaint about the roof itself, which went on in two days over two feet of snow, but about what was left behind; a 2021 customer described trash, screws in the deck and boards with nails pointing up in a yard with dogs. And in January 2026 a couple said that after their financing application was declined, a second lender ran credit inquiries on both of them. If you want a metal roof from a company with a staffed office that picks up — one customer emailed at 6:45pm and had a call back by 7 — this is a mainstream New England choice, and the crews who show up are the part customers praise hardest. Settle the warranty wording before you sign, ask exactly what ice damming excludes and what the cleanup standard is, and confirm which lenders may run your credit. If you specifically want standing seam, ask first: a February 2026 Reddit commenter said they do shingle systems rather than standing seam.
“Metal Roof Installer in eastern MA Hi all, I was hoping you could help me with some recommendations of a standing seam metal roof installer in eastern MA. I have heard good things about East Coast Metal Roofs but they only do shingles, not standing seam. I have heard very mixed reviews on Advanced Metal Roofing. Any other experiences or thoughts?”

“I see a lot of FRS and RB Farina trucks around town, and I have also been seeing more homes use metal roofs from [East Coast Metal Roofing](https://www.eastcoastmetalroofing.com/).”
“We just had East Coast Metal roofing out last week - extremely happy with it!”
“I just got my quote from East Coast - $98.5k for 4,800 sq. ft. including gutters.”
From beginning to end, this was a fabulous experience! Ian came to do the estimate. He was kind and funny and really listened to our needs and concerns. There was absolutely NO pressure to purchase the roof, which is something I look for when making a big purchase. Jenna, the office manager, was communicative every step of the way, answering my million questions and letting us know what next steps were. The crew was amazing-smiling and singing for much of the time they were working. They were courteous and VERY clean, picking up absolutely everything before they left each day (nails and scraps of roof debris that didn’t quite make it to the dumpster, etc.). Alex, the crew leader, kept the crew happy and healthy (eg. making sure they had lots of water and keeping them home when the air quality was unhealthy), and Keith, the quality control inspector, was on site to make sure we were happy with the work and the experience before they left on the last day. I would use them again without hesitation. Just fabulous!! And the roof is stunning!! Neighbors keep stopping to comment on it. Thank you SO much!!
Taft kept in contact and made sure everything was here Shawn came up and checked progress on the job and straightened shades in skylights Jenna was most helpful getting the dumpster on the job seeing it wasn’t there Jenna was my contact person Thank you Paul was our first sales person he would have been happier if we went with metal (or we took him fishing) Patrick was very helpful connecting the boat to get it out of the way
My new roof looks amazing! Even better than the images online. And the team that came out to do the work was quick, professional, and friendly. They even worked during a heat wave, and my roof was done way faster than I was expecting! Seriously couldn't have asked for a better experience, highly highly recommend!
Excellent service from start to finish !! Love love love the look and quality of our new roof! True professionals!!
From start to finish my experience with East Coast Metal Roof was amazing. Beau came over and explained the entire process from start to finish. The communication from the office (Sean, Jenna & Tabatha) was great as we had to push the start date a number of times due to my end. What amazed me the most was George & the crew!! These guys came in and were the hardest working team ever. Not only did they leave the property cleaner than it was before the got there, but the craftsmanship was impeccable. Thank you, Paul for a great customer experience.
