In September 2024 a customer whose boiler started leaking wrote that their previous supplier, Irving, would not come out, so they called Eastern Propane & Oil and spoke to Marc Murgo about switching. Within two days their equipment was inspected and an appointment made to replace leaking oil fill pipes, service the boiler and replace the expansion tank, and that customer became an oil customer. The Loudon, New Hampshire company says it has been in business 90 years and offers 24/7 emergency service, and it holds 4.4 stars from 48 Google ratings. In January 2022 a customer facing a wait of several weeks to get a tank set, filled and lines run to the house wrote that Marc Murgo "had it all done almost immediately." In October 2022 a customer of over 20 years thanked "Mark Margo" for taking care of everything once again. In January 2022 a customer who ran out during a blizzard on their first auto fill wrote that someone arrived an hour and a half later. A January 2025 Reddit commenter wrote that Eastern Propane insisted on two 120lb tanks to ensure adequate fuel pressure at low temperatures. In November 2024 a longtime customer wrote that the last driver cussed at them, that their calls were forwarded to people who never picked up, and that their oil tank ran out twice after they had asked for more frequent fills and the rep had confirmed it. In July 2024 a propane customer called a $200 "tank-rental" fee, charged because the house used little propane over the winter, "extremely unethical." Another July 2024 customer wrote that the rates are higher than other companies'. In a January 2023 review, a customer wrote that problems were not solved in a timely manner even when presented as emergent.
