Ed Mc Manus & Son Construction describes itself on its Better Business Bureau page as offering general, septic, paving and excavation contracting services. Its BBB grade is an A+. A 2021 customer said Ed showed skill and precision operating heavy-duty machinery, and called him responsive and knowledgeable. A 2021 Google reviewer whose neighbor was having a driveway put in by the company said a tall older man working there tried to hang yellow caution tape from the reviewer's fence pole. When the reviewer told him to stay out of the yard, the reviewer said he answered "Shut up" in an intimidating manner.
I tried to not put any stars whatsoever, but the system wouldn't let me.. This company was putting in a driveway at my neighbor's house. There was only 2 people left at this time. The tall older gentlemen was about to put up the yellow Caution Tape and was attempting to do so using my fence pole. I went outside & told him not to do so from my front porch & also that he had no business being in my yard at all. He snapped at me telling me to "Shut up" because he "didn't like my face" & to "Go back into my shifty little house". I told him he was working next door, not at my house & that he did not have any reason to be in my yard. He was verbally abusive & stopped when he told me to shut up, in an intimidating manner as if he was going to fight me. He continued muttering words about my house & me as he went into said neighbor's garage for a small pole. Totally disrespectful for my property & myself for telling him the obvious, stay off my property & he did not have permission to use my pole. I guess he is only nice to the people who are paying him & not anyone else. I guess he doesn't care about any future customers, only one's with $$ to overlook his bad attitude & lack of respect.
Ed's skill and precision when it comes to operating heavy-duty machinery is very apparent. He is responsive, knowledgeable, and pleasant to be around. I'd recommend him to anyone.
