Beacon Mechanical Service gets praised for showing up fast, and its hardest review is about a boiler job that went wrong. The Stoughton company holds a 4.4 from 13 Google ratings, and its Massachusetts plumbing licence, 4371-PL-C, is active on the state registry. It describes itself as a locally owned mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC company serving Greater Boston and the South Shore for over a decade, and its site lists MA License # 16449 and RI License # 007397. In a July 2025 Google review, a customer who has used Dave and his team three times said they called at 7 a.m. and had a crew out an hour later. A February 2025 reviewer who manages multiple commercial facilities called it one of few companies that makes problems go away. An October 2023 customer said the company helped choose a new hot water heater and installed it at a fair market price, and a 2021 reviewer credited Dave with servicing sump pumps other plumbers could not. In a March 2023 review, a customer said a new combi system installed around October 2022 brought months of trouble: communication dropped off, a quoted $2,750 rebate turned out to be $1,600, pinhole leaks in the heating loops damaged flooring upstairs and down, a circulator pump failed and flooded the basement, and a replacement pump was installed backwards. The customer said Beacon did push the boiler warranty through. A November 2023 reviewer said techs sat in their trucks for hours and billed for it.
