The part customers keep describing is watching the crew work. In October 2025 a homeowner wrote about a crew where every person had a task that fed the whole operation — leaf blowing, running the crane, chipping branches, one man sawing while suspended from it. In January 2023 another watched a cluster of 70- to 80-foot trees come down feet from two houses: a climber lowered on the crane wrapped and cut each section, which went up over the roof and into the chipper. Elliott Tree works out of 591 Bedford Street in Whitman and covers the South Shore — Abington, Brockton, Weymouth, Hingham, Marshfield, Plymouth, Hanover and Duxbury — with removals, pruning and trimming, stump grinding, lot clearing, mulch and firewood, landscaping and 24/7 emergency storm work, and free on-site estimates. The site claims more than 15 years at it. Nate Elliott comes out to quote the jobs himself, and reviewers name Kassidy in the office and Shane on firewood deliveries. Price and cleanup are the two things customers repeat. Several took Elliott's quote as the lowest of a handful; an Angi reviewer back in May 2016 was told the reason was that the company owns its own equipment. The crews leave yards as if nobody had been there — plastic mats laid down before driving on a lawn in August 2023, a doorbell camera and a squirrel feeder unclipped and set aside first. When a July 2025 storm dropped a sugar maple across a fence, the crew cleared it that day. A customer in June 2025 said they were told some of the work they asked about was not necessary. Firewood is the weak spot. A February 2026 reviewer gave one star, saying wood advertised as seasoned was green; in December 2024 a customer had trouble with a first cord and said it was sorted out quickly to their satisfaction. Its Better Business Bureau profile carries an A+, and the company was named in a December 2025 r/PlymouthMA thread. For a big or awkward removal near a house, this is a strong South Shore call — the crane work and the cleanup are what people describe. If you are buying firewood rather than tree work, ask how long it has been seasoned and what happens if it arrives green.

Completely amazing job! The Elliott Tree crew was the best run “crew” I’ve ever seen. Each person had a specific task that integrated into their whole system. From leaf blowing, to running the cranes, cutting and chipping the branches and sawing trees while suspended from the crane. They were very professional, incredibly efficient, and extremely talented tree workers. I had 7 trees that had to go and 2 others I was contemplating. Their price was so great that I was able to afford all 9 trees for much less than all the other competitors priced out for just the 7. Some of these trees were massive. I was particularly impressed by the way they systematically removed these massive trees. They were done before 3pm and left my yard in immaculate shape, looking even better than when they arrived. The entire process was smooth and easy including Cassidy in the office who help coordinate the events and kept me up to date. I would absolutely recommend Elliott Tree to all my family and friends.
After several tree estimates we used Elliott Tree Removal and they did a fantastic job. The customer service from Kassidy was awesome and scheduling was so seamless and Nathan came out and did the estimate himself. He was so pleasant to speak to and explained everything so well. The crew that came to do the work was amazing, professional, personable and tidy. They cleaned up everything and did a fantastic job cutting down and pruning trees. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an exceptional tree removal experience. Will be using this company for all my future tree removal needs!
