"Not a branch left on the ground — you would never know they were here, or that the trees were ever there." T&M — most reviewers call it T Tree Service — is a small family operation based in Whitman, working the South Shore out toward Quincy, run by Thiago with his wife Joy in the office. By its own account it has been at this for 13 years, doing tree removal, pruning, stump grinding and firewood. The jobs are big. A January 2025 customer described fifteen trees over 50 feet taken down in bad conditions by a crew working like a machine. In April 2023 another watched seventeen trees come down over two days and wrote about how methodically the team worked around them. In August 2025 a homeowner had fourteen tall trees felled along the side of a house and every stump ground. A 2023 customer needed limbs over the house reached by climbing; after a 2023 storm, another wrote that the yard came back better than it had been, part of the work done in pouring rain. Speed and price come up nearly as often. A October 2023 customer asked for a quote on a Friday, had Thiago out the next day and a written estimate that afternoon, with the stump ground three days later. A May 2024 homeowner priced five other companies and found T&M well under them, with the paperwork she needed in hand days ahead of the work. This April, a customer wrote that Joy stayed on top of calls and texts through the whole job. One April 2024 customer had a very different experience. He hired the crew to take down seven trees and grind every stump, and says the agreed job also covered clearing the mulch, cleaning the yard and handling a large branch that had come down on his pool — and that the cleanup he was promised was left to him. Cleanup is precisely what other customers single out, which makes the scope the thing to pin down on a big job: get the debris, the mulch and any pool or patio work written into the quote. T&M is a strong call for multi-tree removals and awkward takedowns close to a house, where crew discipline and a clean site matter more than anything else.
