Monster Tree Service of Southeastern Massachusetts is the Foxborough franchise of the national Monster Tree Service brand, run by owner Jason DuBose. BBB records it as started in June 2018 and grades it A+ while noting it is not accredited. Customers name Jason (and Jay) constantly, which is how a franchise ends up reading like an owner-operated shop. What people hire them for is storm work and speed. A February 2026 customer had five hazardous trees taken care of less than 24 hours after calling, in deep snow. A January 2024 customer whose shed was crushed by a storm-felled tree had Jason on site the same day, a quote that day and a crew the next morning, during a week when the same storm had put tree work back across several towns. A February 2024 customer had a huge downed pine cleared two days after calling, and when equipment marked a wet lawn the crew came back and repaired it. Cleanup and property protection recur as strongly as speed. A March 2023 customer describes plywood laid across a patio, walkway and lawn to get heavy equipment to two back-yard trees. Others describe gardens and shrubs worked around without damage, and yards left with no sign the crew had been there. Pricing comes up repeatedly and consistently as fair or best-of-several-quotes, including a customer who got the best of three. The one substantive complaint is a November 2025 one-star review, and it is worth reading in full because the reviewer updated it: they say Jason was responsive and got a crew over very quickly for a tree they feared would hit the house, but they disputed the account of the property and felt the original quote for two large trees plus a dead one was high against what another company later charged for four comparable trees. A January 2025 four-star reviewer is the other qualified voice, and a positive one: Jason came out on time and gave an honest opinion that his crew could not safely do that particular job given the pines, power lines and septic layout, and the customer said they would call again. So: a strong call for storm response and fast scheduling in the Foxborough area, with the usual franchise caveat that BBB lists one employee here and the brand's national site is not this location's own. Get the scope and the price in writing, and compare a second quote on a large job.
