Emerald City Kitchen & Bath started out — and is still listed with the Better Business Bureau — as "Emerald City Granite," and stone is still the specific thing that keeps showing up in what people hired them for. Based in Plymouth and serving the South Shore, Cape Cod, and the Islands, the company says it's been family- and veteran-owned since 1999, owner-operated by husband-and-wife team Carrie and Jeremy Medford. Its Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor license is active, and it carries a 4.5★ average from 28 ratings on Google and a 4.6★ average from 28 ratings on Houzz. The two most recent reviews, from March and June of this year, both single out the same combination: a project manager who answers questions quickly, and tradespeople — carpenters, granite installers, plumbers — who show up on time and leave the customer impressed with the finished work. That's consistent with a longer run of reviews going back to 2021 across six different sites, though the history isn't spotless — it also includes one serious complaint describing mistakes and poor communication on a job, alongside a run of otherwise glowing marks. The business is not BBB accredited, and BBB carries no rating for it at all. Ask specifically what's included for a full kitchen or bath job versus a standalone countertop or tile order — the clearest, most consistent praise here is for stone and countertop work, with whole-room remodeling less directly documented. For that kind of job in the Plymouth/South Shore/Cape Cod area, the license is active and the two most recent customers had nothing but good things to say — worth confirming who's on-site for anything bigger.

Worked with Jeremy and his team. Great people to do work with. Quality and honest work. Highly recommend.

The entire process was incredibly easy. Communication with the Project Manager was outstanding—she responded to my questions quickly and thoroughly. The carpenter, granite installers, and plumber all arrived on time, were polite, and worked very hard. I was extremely impressed with the quality of their workmanship. Without hesitation, I would use them again.

Emerald Cory has just completed the countertop replacement and tile work in our kitchen. Everyone was very easy to work with and replied promptly to any questions we had. We love our new kitchen look! We highly recommend Emerald City!

Emerald City was excellent to work with throughout our bath remodel. Crystal was hands-on from start to finish and made sure everything ran smoothly. The contractor, plumber, and electrician all arrived on time, were very efficient, listened carefully to our concerns, and delivered outstanding workmanship. Cara, the interior designer, was spot on with the design-her vision truly brought the space together beautifully. We highly recommend Emerald City for your ny home project. 12/2025

Our experience was horrible! They have the worst communication and do not proactively ask the customer the correct questions in order to avoid massive mistakes which led to us having MULTIPLE mistakes in our brand new home! The person who came to template for the stone to be cut had to be escorted off of our property because he fought with our GC! Awful and overpriced!
