ERG Painting is a small owner-run painting and plaster outfit working out of the Everett and East Boston area, and virtually every customer account names the same man: Erick Guevara, who quotes the work and runs the crew himself. The written record is unusually detailed for a painter, and it is consistent about what this company is good at. Plaster and surface prep come up again and again. In a March 2020 review a homeowner described horsehair walls repaired and replastered, popcorn ceiling removed, and the ceiling replastered and painted. In an October 2021 review a customer had five popcorn ceilings removed, primed and painted plus a hallway and two rooms, with the crew prepping and cleaning up each day so rooms stayed usable. Another October 2021 job repaired and repainted a water-damaged ceiling. Cabinet and finish work shows up just as often. In a February 2021 review someone who had given up trying to paint their own cabinets described a three-day spray finish that came out a smooth white; another February 2021 job hung drywall, painted, added shelving in three closets and replaced a small office ceiling. In an April 2023 review a customer said an intricate primary-bedroom wallpaper job was estimated from photos and measurements sent on a Friday evening and executed flawlessly, and a December 2022 reviewer had a bathroom wallpapered down to the outlet covers so the pattern lined up. Communication while the job runs is the other recurring theme. Several customers who could not be on site described daily written summaries and photographs sent during and after the work, one from a September 2020 condo job in Chelsea who also noted that a few small misses caught at the final walkthrough were fixed on the spot. A February 2021 out-of-town customer said the process was easy to manage remotely. Two caveats. The written record runs from 2019 to April 2023 and nothing newer appears, so it describes how the company worked then rather than now. And its two Angi-family listings publish the same reviews, so the headline totals across those sites count the same customers twice. For interior painting, plaster and ceiling repair, cabinet spray finishes or wallpaper on a Boston-area home, this is a well-documented small crew with a repeat-customer pattern. Ask for its current Home Improvement Contractor registration number and check it with the state yourself, ask for two or three 2025-2026 references, and confirm the insurance certificate before work begins.

Erik was a pleasure to work with for our primary bedroom wallpaper project. I initially messaged him on a Friday evening and he responded immediately. He was able to give me an estimate right away based on photos and measurements I provided. His communication throughout the project was among the most prompt and professional I've ever encountered in a home reno project. The work he did was flawless. Our bedroom looks beautiful. Will definitely hire him again. Thank you, Erik!

Erick and his team were responsive, quick to schedule and quick with their high quality work. We had them wallpaper our bathroom with an intricate pattern that needed to be done well and they did not disappoint, even doing the outlet covers to maintain the flow of the scene. Will definitely hire them again when we have our next room to redo.

Erik and his crew did an excellent job painting my home. They were on time, the clean-up was great and the price was reasonable. I would recommend them for any painting job, interior and exterior.
