Erie Home Roofing is the Waltham branch of Erie Home, a national roofing and basement-waterproofing company that says it has operated since 1976 as part of the Home Remodeling Services network. Around here, the calls are almost all for one thing: tearing off an old roof and putting on a new one, often in a single day even on large or complicated houses — reviewers describe crews finishing full asphalt and metal roof replacements with skylights and multiple valleys between sunrise and dark, then returning the next morning if anything is left. Speed and cleanup are the two things people keep coming back to. Google reviewers from 2022 through this year describe crews arriving before 7:30am, working past sundown, and clearing debris — including a magnet pass for stray nails — before leaving. A few reviewers mention Erie Home crews adding LeafGuard gutter protection alongside a roof job. On Google, Erie Home is rated 4.7 stars across 301 ratings, and its BBB profile carries an A+ accreditation. The pattern worth knowing about sits earlier in the process, at the sales table. Across several years — a 2023 review, a 2025 review, and one from June 2026 — customers describe high-pressure pitches, mid-project price increases well beyond the original quote (one June 2026 reviewer says an extra $20,000 was added once work was underway), and slow follow-through on promised rebates. A separate 2025 reviewer reported repeated unsolicited sales calls despite never having contacted the company. And a 2023 review described leftover nails and debris after an install, plus a fence-damage claim that went unresolved for weeks; another 2023 review said labor costs for warranty work weren't disclosed at the time of sale. None of this is universal — most of the 157 reviews on file since 2021 are positive about the actual installation, and 17 of the last six months' reviews were positive with only one negative — but the sales-process complaints recur often enough, across enough years, to be worth asking about directly: get the full price in writing before signing, and confirm exactly what the warranty covers and who pays for labor if it's ever used. For a straightforward roof replacement handled by a crew with national-company scale, Erie Home has a long, largely positive installation record in Waltham. Push for a firm, itemized price before the crew shows up, and get warranty terms in writing.
It started with a great presentation, timely install ,great crew, great overall job well done and overall clean up after job was completed
A stressful endêver but they did a good job with the roof replacement.
Adrian, the young man who was in charge was excellent. Very helpful and respectful and he definitely knew what he was doing. He went above and beyond. He was on the roof installing and directing. Matt was also incredibly thorough, spent 6 hours with us, very pleasant and his presentation was amazing. By the time we signed the papers we understood completely what we were signing. Very nice experience.
they did what they said was going to be done ,I am happy about the finished product
The crew was well organized and able to complete a full roof in two days. After completion of roof they put in Leaf Guard. Everyone cleaned up the property. Everyone was polite and able to let me know their progress. It was a pleasure to do business with Erie Home Roofing.
