Evans Custom Carpentry does its own demolition and its own finish work. The company describes itself as a design/build firm handling every phase of a remodel in-house — tear-out through tile, trim and paint — with kitchens, bathrooms and additions at the center of it. Houzz carries a dozen project galleries from around the North Shore, and the company lists a Bostinno top-ten mention for a Boston rooftop deck among its own credits. Where it gets thin is what customers have written. Both listings show a 5.0 — five ratings on Houzz, two on Angi — but only two written reviews exist, and they date to 2018. For a shop claiming three or four decades of work, that is very little to go on. The two listings also don't quite agree. Houzz puts the business at 65 Central St in Georgetown and calls it 35 years old; Angi has 207 Rowley Bridge Road in Topsfield and says 41. Houzz shows construction supervisor licence cs 028789, but that is the company's own entry rather than something Houzz checked. A sensible call if you want one hands-on crew for a kitchen, bath or addition on the North Shore instead of a contractor coordinating subs. Ask for recent references and finished jobs you can go see, and confirm the licence number and current address directly.

Had a major remodel for a business that needed high quality work while remaining open, so our clients can come and go. He has done virtually every bit of contracting work we needed for our production studio. Quality of his work is outstanding. He has also done a number a job for me at home as well.
