Evolution Painting Company, Inc.

A homeowner whose house had not been painted in about 15 years gathered roughly eight estimates — very low to ridiculously high, in their words — and Evolution Painting landed in the middle. That 2026 account gets at what this Norwood company actually does: the job also needed a lot of carpentry, and the painters are the ones who did it. The company says it has been painting in Massachusetts since 2016. The carpentry keeps showing up. A September 2026 reviewer had damaged siding and interior drywall repaired and then painted. An August 2026 reviewer had many trim and siding repairs and replacements alongside an exterior repaint, with a crew putting in several ten-hour days and cleaning up at the end of each one. In a 2024 review, a homeowner had carpentry done along with staining the house, and a couple of unforeseen items taken care of as they surfaced. Go back to a 2021 review and it is the interior of a 40-year-old house full of ceiling and wall cracks, repaired and painted until it looked almost new. Prep gets as much attention as the finish. A 2026 reviewer said they were not the cheapest quote but that the scraping and sanding before the paint went on was thorough. Another had a crew turn up on the exact date planned several weeks earlier and work neatly around the household. Evelyn is the name in two 2026 reviews — supervising the job, in daily contact, and calling when something unexpected turned up during the carpentry; Fabricio is the one 2025 HomeAdvisor reviewers thank for exterior work. A 2025 reviewer's deck got multiple coats of oil-based stain on mahogany with carpentry they called precise. One account runs against all that: a March 2022 Google review, a single star, calling the painting expensive and poor quality and the company unprofessional. The scores elsewhere are 4.9 across 119 Angi ratings — the same figure carried on HomeAdvisor — and 4.8 across 16 on Google, with an A+ grade at the Better Business Bureau. The state registry records the company's Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 200923. For an exterior repaint where trim and siding need real work before anything gets a coat, this is the crew those homeowners describe, and deck staining, cabinetry and epoxy floor coating sit on the same service list. Ask where your quote falls against the others you collect, and get the carpentry itemized in it — two reviewers describe extra items surfacing once that part started.
