The 5.0 from 19 ratings that HomeAdvisor shows is a syndicated copy of the same Angi profile, not a second set of customers. Punctuality comes up more than anything else — seven of the eighteen describe him arriving or starting when he said he would, and an August 2018 customer living in what they called an old, quirky home wrote that he came prepared with contingencies and finished early. An April 2018 homeowner with a door problem described him sourcing the hardware and working with a manufacturer to have a custom piece made; other 2018 reviewers had a bathroom cabinet installed and new hardware put on kitchen cabinets, and two of them called him reasonably priced. Two things to line up before you call. Those written accounts are six to eight years old, so ask to see doors, trim or stairs he has finished lately. Emmett is a straightforward call for interior finish work: doors, trim, a cabinet, a run of stairs. Ask to see something recent, and settle the scope and the price before he starts.
