Unfortunately, our recent experience was very disappointing. My mom had used this moving company in the past and had a great experience, which is why she chose to hire them again. This time, they were a no-call, no-show twice. The first time, when she finally reached someone, she was told there had been a loss in the family, which we completely understand and sympathize with. However, they then failed to show up again without calling or communicating with her. We understand that emergencies happen, but communication and reliability are extremely important when someone is depending on a moving company—especially when they’re planning around a scheduled move. It’s unfortunate because our previous experience with the company was good, but after being stood up twice with no communication, we would have a hard time recommending them based on this experience.

We sold our home of 35 years and had to move all of our possessions into a large storage unit for several months, and then moved a hundred miles away to a different state once we found a new home. We hired Falardeau & Sons Movers based on our positive vibes from discussions with the owner and other reviews of the business, and my wife and I were glad we did. We were thrilled with the experience. Both portions of the move (from old house to storage unit; from storage unit to new house) were handled professionally and exactly as planned and described, and for a fair price. The crew showed up for the first move right on time on the agreed upon date, and got the entire house safely packed and loaded and moved to a local storage unit all in one day. When it came time to move the large 10’x30’ storage unit contents from Mass. to our new home in Maine, the crew from Falardeau & Sons again showed up promptly first thing in the morning and worked diligently through the day to load and transport and unload our possessions all in one day. They packed and loaded and handled all items carefully and made sure they were safely and properly placed in the new home. The guys worked tirelessly, doing for us exactly what was promised, and we were really impressed with their work ethic and focus. They treated our belongings and life mementos like they were their own, and they checked in with us constantly to make sure our needs were being met during each phase of the process. Above all, the whole team – the lead manager (Leo) and the moving crew (Pat, Bob, Zay) – are courteous gentlemen. They let my wife and I be around during the entire process, communicated status throughout, and conversations with them were entertaining and engaging. They respected our time, and made sure to put us at ease through their words and actions and professionalism. The guys who do the job at Falardeau & Sons clearly know what they are doing, and it resulted in a seamless and stress-free experience for us. We would never hire anyone else!
