The company says cousins Justin Borges and Manny Lindo started Family Heating and Cooling in 2015 and that it is family-owned and operated; it now sells itself as a whole-home outfit covering HVAC, electrical and plumbing across Bristol County and the South Coast. Its Massachusetts HVAC licence is active, held by Justin Borges. The BBB has it at A+ and accredited since 2019. The numbers back the shop up: 5.0 across 95 ratings on Thumbtack and 4.9 across 40 on HomeAdvisor, 95% of them five stars. Read the reviews and it's the technicians' names that keep surfacing — Spencer, Cameron and Noah, Alex and Jaydon — usually alongside two things: they explained the system, and they cleaned up. A 2019 customer described a two-zone system dropped into a single-zone forced-air house, with internet-based controls; a 2020 reviewer described new ductwork with, in their words, no corners cut. One account cuts the other way, and it's worth knowing. In an August 2019 review a homeowner rated the job 3 stars: the A/C work itself was good, but they lost hot water afterward and then spent three days unable to reach anyone, with the answering machine full and no compensation offered. Nothing similar appears in the years since, but it's a fair thing to raise when you book — ask who you call if something goes sideways after the crew leaves.
