Fences by Legge & Son

A storm-damaged fence was repaired in a couple of days, according to a February 2025 customer who needed to keep a pool, dogs and children safe. The customer said Fences by Legge & Son helped while a property-line dispute complicated an insurance claim. The Norfolk company's website advertises residential and commercial wood, vinyl and metal fencing, along with gates and enclosures, and says it has 30 years in business. A May 2026 reviewer praised a fair price, the product's quality and a polite, knowledgeable installer. In an October 2023 review, a customer described a vinyl-fence installation and praised both materials and workmanship. An August 2023 repeat customer said the company had been quick to respond on multiple occasions. Google lists a 4.1-star average from 19 ratings. There is also a substantial pricing complaint. In June 2022, a customer said they paid a third down, waited six weeks with little or no response, then were told the day before the scheduled work that the quote was mistaken and the job would cost $22,000 more. The work described extends beyond fencing: a February 2026 reviewer praised Jake's craftsmanship in a comment about a mailbox bracket, along with Lacey's help arranging the work, fair pricing and quick turnaround.
