Fences by Steven F. Panek is a one-man, family-run fencing shop that says it's been building fences around Foxboro since 1982 (BBB's own file dates the business to 1979). Steve and his small crew handle wood, chain link, ornamental metal, vinyl and PVC fencing, along with pool enclosures. The reviews on Google are consistently detailed and positive. In a May 2026 review, a customer called Steven's pricing fair, said he showed up when promised, and that the crew handled a challenging yard with no problems. Others describe the same pattern across different jobs — a February 2026 review credits the crew with a fence built specifically to contain an "escape-artist beagle," a 2025 review names project manager Colin alongside Steven for a smooth planning-to-install process, and 2024 reviews mention a pool safety fence finished early and a vinyl fence completed within a few hours, both called professional and reasonably priced. Steven’s been a pleasure to work with. His price was fair, came when he said he would and our new fence looks great. My yard had some challenges but Panek fence handled it with no problems. I definitely recommend these guys, thier honest, do great work, and there’s no bullshit ! 5 stars

We recently had an our new backyard fence installed by Fences by Steven Panek. We had a fantastic experience from the beginning planning, meeting with Steven and the project manager Colin during the installation. Everyone was efficient, informative and gave us great suggestions that would make the most sense for our yard and family. Our beautiful fence was installed with such care and quality we were so happy with result. Would 100% recommend Panek Fence and team with all fence needs!
Very prompt for both quoting and installation. I had a pool safety fence installed and Steve's crew was able to do the job a couple of days early. Their work is very professional and cleaned up before leaving. Excellent work and reasonably priced - I would definitely recommend.
