Fireside Sweeps LLC

Fireside Sweeps LLC is a chimney company that says it has been in business for 48 years. Its website lists chimney sweeping, Level I, II and III inspections, wood and pellet stove installation, chimney relining, masonry, flashing and dampers, chimney caps and waterproofing. On Google it holds 4.8 stars from 18 ratings. A recent Google customer says Steve and the crew installed a new chimney liner and chimney cap, completed masonry work, and found a piece of combustible plywood beneath the hearth during the inspection, which that customer called a serious fire hazard. A 2024 customer said a wood stove and chimney had been installed incorrectly, and that Steve identified the issues and made alterations that improved the stove's performance. That 2024 customer also said he swept the chimney. A 2023 customer wrote that Steve and his crew installed a chimney system for an oil burner after poor draft in the original chimney kept setting off carbon monoxide detectors; that customer said Steve and his wife came out in less than a week, on a Saturday, and mentioned fair pricing. A 2023 reviewer wrote that Steve's team worked on a very steep and difficult roof. When wind made the chimney cap rattle, Steve came out and addressed it, and when the top of the cap blew off a year later, they replaced it with no questions asked, according to that 2023 reviewer. A 2022 customer said the company cleaned out the chimney and the woodstove pipe at a reasonable price.
