This is a personal objective encounter I had with Charlie Flores owner of Flores Tile and Marble. I needed someone to repair my upstairs bathroom and I stumbled upon Flores Tile and Marble online. The reviews were great and pictures of previous work looked enticing. I contacted him and he responded. He came that very evening to assess the project and gave a reasonable quote. I was content with the initial encounter and was assured that the job will be done beyond my satisfaction. From that moment after Charlie was very difficult to reach. He neglected to return calls or text back when I had questions. When he did get back to me his excuse was that he has been engrossed in a current project hence the reason he couldn’t get back. I understand that he has to make a living so I politely reminded him to at least give a quick text or call to so that we can coordinate schedules to begin the job. Although he agreed things did not change in terms of communication. Eventually we did agree on a date to get supplies at Home Depot and commence the Job. I called Charlie on a Wednesday and we agreed to meet at home Depot on Sunday morning at 730 to get supplies. I called and texted him on Thursday and Friday to ensure we were on the same page. He never responded to any of my calls or texts. Finally on Saturday morning I called and texted him to check if the meeting was still on, again no response. I did go to Home Depot anyway and waited for an hour without him ever contacting me or showing up. It was very frustrating because I had also taken the week off to be available when construction begun. I eventually reached out to the Tile guy he recommended me to who called him on my behalf. After the prolonged wait I headed back home and it was not until then that he called me to say I should be at Home Depot in 10 minutes. I told him that I’m 20 minutes away so 30 minutes will be more a more realistic timeframe and he agreed to this. So I went back to Home Depot and inquired about his whereabouts, he proceeded to tell me that I should wait because he was still 10 minutes away. When I mentioned to him how inconsiderate this was he told me that “you can find somebody else”. I was in disbelief but despite my frustration and disappointment I didn’t need to be crass. I simply sent him a text and said “don’t worry I’ll find someone else like you suggested”. I don’t think that anyone should feel it necessary to treat a fellow human being like this let alone a potential customer. The sad thing is that he never apologized for his behavior but resorted to damage control through multiple calls and texts that he’s at Home Depot waiting if I change my mind. In what world is this behavior professional or respectful? If he’s reading this and I hope he does perhaps it will help him take accountability and realize that people have a right to respect and they always remember how you made them feel. I hope he doesn’t repeat this behavior and maybe in future he will learn to provide a more respectful and professional service.
Charlie from Flores did a great job in our bathroom. It started with a crack in our master shower and he was flexible when the job started to become more in-depth than we have planned. He did such a good job, we had him inspect and clean/repair tiles in all our bathrooms. All our bathrooms look like new! I highly recommend him!
I recently had the pleasure of working with Charlie from Flores Tile & Marble for a bathroom tile installation project in my home, and I couldn't be happier with the results! From start to finish, Charlie demonstrated exceptional professionalism and skill. One of the things I appreciated most about working with Charlie was his helpfulness. He provided valuable insights and guidance, making informed recommendations that ultimately contributed to the success of the project. When it came to the actual tile installation, Charlie showcased a high level of precision and attention to detail. Charlie went above and beyond by not only installing the tile but also handling the removal and installation of the toilet and vanity. The finished result is nothing short of stunning, and I continue to receive compliments from friends and family. Overall, I couldn't be more pleased with the exceptional service provided by Charlie. If you're in need of a talented and reliable contractor, look no further.
We completely redid our primary bathroom with Carlos and he was wonderful! Very detail oriented, beautiful quality work. He was very accommodating, even when we changed our minds. He had great suggestions too. He was so respectful and cleaned up everyday. The bathroom looks spectacular - thank you Carlos!
Carlos has done 4 bathroom projects for us over the past few months, ranging from a full reno of our master bath to a small powder room update done on short notice before Thanksgiving. We got his name from our tile store when we urgently needed someone to take over our master bath renovation mid-project. Carlos came in and was able to correct what the previous contractor had done wrong and properly finish the project, both quickly and for a reasonable price. We also had him re-tile another shower- he has a great eye for tile design and does excellent work installing. In addition to doing great work, he and his team are reliable and trustworthy, and we will continue to use them as new projects come up.
