For Seasons Marblehead Landscape Design/Build says it's been the town's landscape design/build firm for more than 30 years, working today out of Marblehead across Swampscott, Nahant, Salem, and Beverly. It describes itself as a high-end outdoor living firm — patios, outdoor kitchens, water and fire features, driveways — alongside garden maintenance and property concierge work, though the reviews on file are almost entirely about the design side of that work. Two names come up again and again: Lauren Lautner and Kara Pascal, both credited by reviewer after reviewer for listening closely to what a family actually wants and then designing around it — plant pairings chosen for color and micro-conditions, native species picked to conserve water, a sloped and oversized backyard turned into what one 2025 review called "beyond our wildest dreams." Several reviewers describe the designer personally sourcing plants and trees, coordinating delivery and installation, and following up afterward to check on how things were settling in. More than one project also involved coordinating multiple other contractors on-site, with reviewers saying the work still finished on schedule. There isn't a negative review to weigh against the praise — every account on file, going back to early 2024, is five stars, and the same pattern of patience, communication, and design skill repeats across nearly all of them rather than sitting on one standout account. Activity has slowed some over the last several months, so it's worth asking directly about current availability and lead times for a new project. For a full landscape design led by an experienced local team — especially on a challenging site that needs real design thinking, not just planting — the reviews here point in one direction; get a sense of the current project queue before booking.

Lauren was great! She spent a lot of time hearing our ideas and making them a reality.
I've been counting my lucky stars to be working with Lauren during our highly stressful addition project. I find myself worrying about so many details, but never worry when Lauren is in charge. She's highly skilled, insightful and knows just what to do! She has transplanted delicate mature trees and shrubs with ease and designed a thoughtful, holistic landscape plan that considers our environment, lifestyle and the architectural details of our home. She has gone above and beyond to consult with me on important decisions - sometimes with just a moment's notice - for which I am deeply grateful. Her impeccable taste combined with her creativity, confidence, warmth and enthusiasm make her a joy to work with. I always look forward to our meetings and wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking to work with the best!
We worked with For Seasons to redesign our backyard, which was a challenge given the size and slope, but WOW! The finished project is beyond our wildest dreams and Lauren and Kara were amazing through every step of the way. They listened to us, took our feedback, and turned our dream into a reality. They made every step of the process so easy as I knew they always had everything managed and taken care of. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would!
For Seasons was terrific! We saw the work done at a neighbor's and reached out. Lauren was there at every step and sourced the perfect trees for our project. She expertly arranged for delivery, installation, care instructions, and has visited to check in on the project.
