Somerby Landscaping is a one-person operation working out of Blueberry Road in Marblehead — yard clean-ups in spring and summer, driveway plowing through the winter. Two customers, writing in 2019 and 2021, described exactly that arrangement as a standing seasonal relationship; one added that he clears the snow off their cars while he's there. The rest of the record cuts the other way. A customer writing in October 2020 said he came out, made promises, and then went silent across text, mobile and landline, leaving them chasing him. Another, in December 2018, said a leaf clean-up quote came in at more than double the going rate. That is the entire written history: five reviews between 2018 and 2021, averaging 2.8 stars on Google, with nothing added in the five years since. Its BBB file, opened in 2019, lists one employee and carries no rating at all — the BBB says it doesn't have enough information about the business to issue one. With a record this small and this old, there is no way to tell whether the unreturned-calls problem was a bad patch or how the business runs now. If you approach them, get the quote in writing and compare it against one or two other local quotes, and treat responsiveness as the thing to test before you commit to a season.
