Forty-one years in, Frank Moody is still the name on the licence. Massachusetts confirms an active master plumber licence, number 10205, held by Frank Moody himself — the same number the company prints on its own site. The shop is small and old-fashioned in the good sense. BBB records a sole proprietorship established and incorporated in 1985, five employees, and Moody as owner and president, run out of Wollaston. The company describes commercial and residential plumbing — water heaters, copper repiping, drain and frozen-pipe work, remodel plumbing — alongside heating, and calls out steam heat and hydronics as its particular expertise, which is exactly the work older Boston-area houses need and many shops would rather not touch. The public word is scarce. In July 2024 a commenter in a Quincy thread asking for reliable plumbers put his name forward with a caveat worth repeating: "I highly recommend him. he's on the pricey side but he's experienced and trust worthy." That single comment is the whole of the outside word on this company. The Better Business Bureau grades it A+, though the business has not sought BBB accreditation. A good fit for steam or hydronic heating, or an older-home plumbing problem where the experience matters more than the hourly rate. Get the price in writing before work starts — the one person on record vouching for him flagged the cost in the same breath.
