On a 90-degree Sunday, one customer's first-floor A/C shut off and would not restart. They emailed Fritz, he answered Monday at 7:15 AM with an 8 to 9 AM arrival window, and the techs arrived promptly and started repairs right away. Fritz's Heating & Cooling is an HVAC company; on its website it lists heat pumps, geothermal systems, gas conversions, backup generators and water heater systems, and it says it offers 24/7 emergency service. A customer whose house hit 90 degrees during a heat wave said they came out in less than an hour and fixed it. One customer said a competitor tried to sell all new units, but Fritz repaired every unit in one day. At a home in Sandy Hook, a customer said Fritz and his guys installed a new heating and cooling system, equipment and ductwork included. A customer of more than ten years said other contractors complimented how thorough their new heat pump setup was during an energy audit. A customer of more than six years described complete renovations and a total systems replacement, and said Fritz works nights and weekends to honor deadlines. One customer said the company installed their AC fifteen years ago and services it every year. A 2023 customer said Fritz installed a furnace with loose wires and no filter box, leaving the filter next to the motor inside the unit, and said other people had to be called to fix the problems.
On a 90+ degree day our first floor A/C shut off at 5 PM (and wouldn't restart) on Sunday. I emailed Fritz and he responded on Monday at 7:15 AM with a promise of a tech arrival between 8 AM and 9 AM. Techs arrived promptly and repairs started immediately. Now that is service!
