I highly recommend using Steve Basso for any HVAC services or installations. Steve came out himself to evaluate and provide information for a quote. He thoroughly educated me on all areas of what is needed to look for when making a decision on a new system. His quote was the most valuable to me and less than the others for a high efficiency system. His employees were excellent and very knowledgeable. They did a great job of keeping me informed during the installation process. I am very pleased with their work.
Poor scheduling management would rather argue Makes scheduling errors and then blames customer lady is antagonistic rather than hospitable manipulative responses rather than admitting error. Don’t waist your time
Professional, thorough and polite. Great job.
I am extremely disappointed by my experience with this business, especially because my husband and I were prepared to spend well over $10,000 for a new furnace for our basement. We stopped by Monday around 9:30 AM because we wanted to speak with someone in person about scheduling an appointment. The front door was locked, but we noticed the garage was open and saw plumbers working in the back. We approached them, introduced ourselves, and explained what we needed. They were very nice, welcoming, and accommodating. They actually brought us through the back entrance into the office, where there was a receptionist sitting at the desk. I explained to the receptionist why we were there. From the moment we began speaking, her tone, facial expressions, and overall demeanor toward us were extremely condescending and unwelcoming. She repeatedly told me, “You can’t do that here,” and explained that Steve makes his own schedule. I explained that we simply came in person because we wanted to schedule an appointment, and she gave me a business card with the company’s phone number and told me to call. We left and decided not to judge the entire company based on one interaction. We called the number on the card, only to discover that the same receptionist answered the phone. I told her, “Weren’t we just there?” and she said yes. She then proceeded to ask me the same questions I had literally just answered in person. What really bothered me was her tone when she asked, “How did you hear about us? Did you just see us on the side and walk in?” Given the interaction we had just had in person, that question came across as particularly condescending and uncomfortable. For context, my husband and I are Black, and the receptionist is white. I cannot speak to what was in her heart or what her intentions were, but the way we were treated felt like a racial microaggression, and it left a very bad impression on both of us. We walked in as potential customers ready to spend a significant amount of money with this company and were made to feel unwelcome and as though we were a nuisance. During that phone call, she took our names and phone number and told us that Steve would contact us. That conversation happened on Monday. Today is Saturday, and we have received absolutely no call, email, or other communication from the company. At this point, the lack of follow-up makes me question whether our information was ever actually passed along to Steve in the first place. Regardless of what happened behind the scenes, the fact remains that a potential customer looking to spend $10,000+ has received no follow-up after being told someone would contact us. It is 2026. Hospitality and basic respect should not be too much to expect from the person representing your business at the front desk. If you are going to have someone as the first point of contact for potential customers, I strongly recommend training that person on customer service, professionalism, and how their tone and behavior can make customers feel. The plumbers we initially encountered were kind and professional, which is why this experience was even more disappointing. Unfortunately, because of the way we were treated by the receptionist and the complete lack of follow-up afterward, we will be taking our business elsewhere. A business potentially losing a $10,000+ customer because of the way one employee treats people is something management should take seriously.
