G&L Paving and Masonry, LLC

G&L Paving recently repaved my driveway, and the quality of their finish is absolutely outstanding. They are undoubtedly a top-tier asphalt paving company. The crew does amazing work, and I am very pleased with the final result.

Do not trust or hire this company: We were significantly up-charged $4,990 AFTER work was started for (1) relaying apron stones that we were told did not need re-laying in our signed contract and (2) for less manual labor and equipment (drain pipes) than was estimated for our New Canaan property. To top it off, Mr. Luis Rivera, a co-owner, is the most unprofessional and rude "contractor" we have ever encountered. Rivera refused to go through our concerns and repeatedly told us we were stuck and the "bill is the bill" despite a signed agreement. We regret not hiring one of the other firms that bid on our project. Don't make our mistake. (Also, end work product is average, at best.) We have reported our complaint to the Better Business Bureau and the Connecticut Dept of Consumer Protection.

My neighbors and I recently had G&L completely repair and pave our private road after decades of neglect. While I can’t say enough good things about the exceptional work they did, what impressed me most was how easy, professional, and genuinely positive the entire experience was from start to finish. Carla and Caraleese were incredibly supportive throughout the process. They patiently answered all of my questions—and the many questions from my neighbors—with the same grace, professionalism, and responsiveness they showed from the very beginning. The paving crew was equally impressive. They were clearly experts at their craft and did an incredible job working through the layers of damaged ground and debris left behind by years of neglect. They were careful where it mattered, paid attention to every detail, and were very deliberate about keeping the area clean throughout the project. They were even superstars with the little kids on our road, who loved watching them work! And then there’s Luis, who really made the entire project come together. From our first conversation to the completion of the road, Luis was professional, knowledgeable, detailed, extremely patient, and incredibly fair. We first contacted G&L more than a year ago and received a very fair quote. Because of various circumstances, it took us much longer than expected to move forward, but Luis honored that original quote more than a year later. At no point did we feel pressured to “hurry up or else.” He simply continued to work with us and treated us fairly throughout the entire process. The end result is a beautifully repaired road that our entire neighborhood can finally enjoy again—but honestly, the finished road is only part of what makes me so happy we chose G&L. Great work is one thing. Great people are another. G&L has both. I’m incredibly grateful to Luis, Carla, Caraleese, and the entire G&L team for making what could have been a complicated and stressful project such an easy and positive experience. I would wholeheartedly recommend G&L to anyone looking for paving work done by people who genuinely care about doing the job right.

Full driveway replacement. Final product is excellent, would recommend to anyone.
