Eleven permits spread across twenty-three years — 2001 to 2024, jobs valued from about $2,200 to $67,660 — is the shape of G Profit Construction: a small Haverhill outfit taking work as it comes across the Merrimack Valley and Greater Boston. The company says on its own site that it has been building and remodeling for residential and commercial clients in Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire since 1996, roughly thirty years. Interior and exterior both: remodels, additions, decks, masonry, new builds. Only three people have written about them on Google, and all three gave five stars. The most telling is the oldest. In a June 2025 review, a man in the lumber business — the sort who gets asked for contractor names constantly — wrote that Gurney is who he sends people to, and called his pricing fair and reasonable. A month later, in July 2025, a customer described a greenhouse renovation done in hundred-degree heat by a crew that turned up when it said it would and worked neat. The newest, from June 2026, came from a business contact who referred them a job and got professional work back. BuildZoom lists a Massachusetts construction supervisor license and a home improvement contractor registration for the company, both of which BuildZoom says it verified active, plus an older home improvement number it shows as inactive or cancelled. None of that has been confirmed against the state registry here, so treat it as BuildZoom's account and ask to see the current registration on the contract itself. The company is listed as a Haverhill Chamber of Commerce member. Two practical things before you call. Its HomeAdvisor profile states the company offers no free estimates, no warranties, and no emergency service — the warranty line especially is worth settling in writing on anything sizeable. And the written history is genuinely thin: three reviews in total, zero on HomeAdvisor or Angi, and none posted on its BuildZoom profile despite the eleven permits there. This reads like a referral business rather than a lead-generation one — the people who wrote about it were sent by someone they knew, and the work described runs from a greenhouse to a full remodel. For a deck, a finished basement, or a mid-size remodel in the Merrimack Valley, ask for two or three recent addresses you can drive past, confirm the registration number, and get the warranty terms on paper.

I referred them on a job to a business network and they did a fantastic job. High quality professional work from a team you'll want to do business with again.

We used Gurney and his team to do some renovations on our greenhouse. The were there when they said they would be even in the 100 degree temps. They were neat, efficient and knowledgeable. We will definitely recommend them and will use them again when needed.
