GA Building & Remodeling

GA Building & Remodeling is a Marlborough, Massachusetts general contractor that's been in business since 2010 under Levy (also spelled Levi in some reviews). The thing several reviews keep coming back to is speed after a disaster: a flooded bathroom fixed within two days of a 2025 storm, a kitchen fire restored with the company coordinating directly with insurance, and a full roof replacement after a hailstorm handled from inspection through claim approval, all in 2025. Beyond emergency work, dozens of 2024-2026 reviews describe kitchen remodels, primary-bath renovations, basement-to-living-space conversions, room additions, and custom builds like wet bars and Murphy beds — reviewers repeatedly credit designers and project managers with steering material choices and giving daily updates. One customer described a long relationship with the company: a bathroom remodel in 2019, a full basement remodel in 2024, and several more home improvements in 2025. Not every job on file went that way. In a 2022 review, posted on both Google and Houzz, a customer said the company disappeared for weeks or months at a time and took about 13 months to finish a single bathroom remodel. A July 2025 review described a bathroom remodel that dragged on for 10 months and called it among the worst experiences the reviewer had had with a contractor. A May 2025 review about a sunroom addition and kitchen relocation said the electrician on the job was watching instructional videos to learn the work. Get a written timeline and ask directly how the company staffs and supervises a job before signing — the same company that reviewers credit with fast, well-coordinated disaster response has also left a few customers waiting far longer than promised.
