Gatt Floors

Our floors were in rough shape and came out great Good value and a great team of polite and professional hard workers

They had to come back twice and they fixed some flaws and items I was not happy with the fist attempt and addressed my concerns after I left a review. Everything has since been fixed; they more than made up for the errors on the first trip.

I use a wheel chair & the solid wheels removed all the finish on our 1st Floor 4â Red Oak floors. We also had some pet urine stains on the floors in one room. Bill and his crew were able to remove the wheel marks and pet stains and the floors look brand new. Bill knows his craft. Weâ re very happy with the results !

I am surprised my experience with Bill Gatt was so negative given how many positive reviews there were here. I do not want him to damage your floors the way he did mine. First, he was unresponsive and cancelled on us twice before the job started to get a quote and see samples (big red flag). In the middle of his job, he pushed us back by a day because something else came up. The biggest issue was in the poor quality of the work he did that left lasting damage to our floors and molding. By using a large sander poorly, he took out huge chunks of the quarter round molding, left large divots in the floor by leaving the sander in one place for too long and there are circular sanding marks that he left all over the floor. The only way to fix the sanding issues from the floors (which he did not tell us) would be to re-do everything, something he was not transparent about and said he would not want to be accountable to fix this in case we we not happy. Well, we are not happy because there are sand marks and big divots in the floor. When I look at the floors now, they are uneven and not smooth. A contractor with integrity would have told us where the issue came from, taken responsibility and fixed it. The floor was also under finished and sloppy. I found a pine needle lodged in the finish in my dining room. This was sloppy work by someone who did not care about the quality of their work and hoped we would not notice. The worst part was he refused to make it right or even take accountability or apologize for leaving huge gouges with his sander on our floors. The impact this has had is it pushed back our move in dates by a month for our house because we needed to hire someone else to buff and do another coat. The most upsetting part is the divots in the floor that now look uneven that we do not have the money to fix. This would cost us close to 10k to redo his work and the molding. Please use someone else who will treat you and your floors with respect.
