GDM Contracting Inc. is a Quincy-area carpentry business focused on fine finish carpentry and custom cabinetry. BuildZoom lists an active Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor licence, while Houzz shows six projects and service coverage across Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and the islands. A June 2016 Houzz reviewer praised Shaun's attention to detail, engineering background, construction and finish work, and fair, upbeat approach. The written review history is brief and dated, so ask for recent examples, current availability, and a clear scope before booking. The company appears best suited to homeowners seeking detailed finish carpentry, cabinetry, framing, and deck-related work in the South Shore/Boston region.
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from GDM Contracting Inc.. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
A typical single-level deck is 12×16 — about 200 sq ft.
Estimated range
$7,750 – $14,500
Typical carpentry project around $11,100
Shaun is terrific. He is very detail oriented, has an engineering background and does great construction and finish work. He is an upbeat, fair and reasonable person with a can do attitude.
