Gerrity Stone is a stone fabricator and installer: countertops, vanities, tub decks, showers and fireplaces in granite, marble, limestone and engineered quartz, as the company describes itself on its BBB page. Its Houzz profile carries 3.3 stars from 7 ratings, and its BBB grade is A+. Customers split hard. On the good side, an October 2025 Houzz reviewer said Gerrity installed a large L-shaped Cambria quartzite kitchen countertop for them a year earlier and gave them time to adjust the cabinet leveling on the spot rather than rescheduling. Two interior designers wrote on Houzz years earlier: in June 2014, one said they had worked with Gerrity for over nine years on countertops, tub surrounds, showers and fireplaces, and in August 2015 another said a countertop install was delivered on time and within budget. A July 2013 customer had them back for a fireplace after a shower and bath surround. An October 2025 Houzz reviewer said stains began bleeding through newly installed countertops the next day, that the sales contact asked what they had washed the counters with, and that after a visit from the stone maker no one called back on an $11,000 job. In an August 2023 Houzz review and a Reddit thread the same month, a customer with a $17K Cambria quartz order through Home Depot said the piece broke in the warehouse on delivery day and the general manager insisted on installing two pieces with a seam and offered a $250 gift certificate. A March 2020 Houzz reviewer said mistakes were made on their countertops and that they were yelled at on the phone.
“If we had gotten a quote directly from GerrityStone, it’s our understanding that the same product would have been $3-5k more”
“Stay firm, if they broke it under their supervision at their warehouse then they are 100% liable for damages.”
“We did do our research and thought that GerrityStone was a reputable company. Unfortunately it’s been difficult to say the least.”
“Now for the seam, they admitted they broke the piece.”
“We spoke with another friend who had very bad experiences with GerrityStone's seams, so are hesitant about seams.”
“Don’t use GerrityStone that HomeDepot uses. Run away and run fast. Horrendous customer service. We had our countertops installed and strange stains started bleeding through the very next day.”
“Complementing these surfaces are the LG quartz countertops from Gerrity Stone, offering durability and elegance in equal measure.”
“The countertop is jet mist honed granite from Gerrity Stone in Woburn, Mass. (a popular source around here).”
Don’t use this company! Run away and run fast. Horrendous customer service. We had our countertops installed and strange stains started bleeding through the very next day. The sales contact blamed us and asked what we washed the counters with. I told her, they literally were just installed. She then sent someone out from the stone maker to assist. He came out, made statements about it being so strange because the stains came through along the lines and said “we will call you”… that’s it… crickets! $ 11,000 with brown stains. Pick a company that cares about their customers. Look at the images attached.
Gerrity installed a largish L-shaped kitchen countertop in Cambria quartzite for us in October, 2024. I had built and installed the cabinets and they graciously gave me time to adjust some of the leveling after arriving with the new countertops rather than requiring us to re-schedule. The crew was friendly, polite and efficient. We love the results!
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Placed $17K order for Cambria quartz countertops with GerrityStone/HomeDepot and it's been a nightmare. Day of order delivery, GerrityStone calls us to tell us that they broke our quartz countertop at their warehouse. We ask them how much longer it would take to get an unbroken countertop. General Manager Mark Capuano tells us we need to receive the two broken pieces with a seam because "contractually he can put a seam anywhere he wants." Mr. Capuano offers us a "$250 gift certificate for a nice dinner" on our $17K order. We say no. He asks us what we want? We ask for our original unbroken countertop order to be fulfilled. He tells us that'll cost an additional $3,000. He asks if we would receive the broken countertop with an additional seam. We don't want to take the broken countertop, but we'll take it if we're given $2K in compensation. He tells us this discussion is a waste of a time and hangs up on us. GerrityStone comes back and offers us $500 to receive the broken countertop. We refuse and are still waiting to hear from them. Addendum * In GerrityStone's document, it specifically states "Seam placement should be discussed during the in-home template appointment...Final seam placement is at the discretion of the professional, and seam location may be able to be moved or eliminated in particular circumstances...Additional seams may be required based on the ability to maneuver a piece into position at the installation site." We reviewed and approved the single seam placement for our L-shaped kitchen countertop. GerrityStone is not moving a seam, they're introducing another seam due to damage to the quartz countertop under their supervision at their warehouse. Doesn't GerrityStone have insurance for damage like this? GerrityStone's website says "we will only be satisfied when you are"....we are definitely not satisfied.
I have NEVER had a worse experience with a company. They made mistakes with our countertops, yelled at me when I was questioning one of men on the phone and the absolute worst part is that they lied about what they said. I would run away from this company as fast as you can.
I am an interior designer and had used Gerrity Stone for a countertop install. They were helpful and their wide range of stone for my customer was extremely helpful! The countertop was within budget, delivery was timely, and the client loved the final result.
