Get Electric's own website offers electrical work from simple repairs to complex installations, and the company says it has been in business 35 years. A 2024 customer with serious electrical issues said Rob came in, diagnosed them, priced the work fairly and resolved all of them. That 2024 customer also said Rob comes from over 50 years of a family of electricians. A 2024 customer referred by a friend said Rob showed up when he said, explained things thoroughly and was more than fair with his pricing. A 2026 customer described Rob as prompt and courteous and said he does what he says. It holds an active Connecticut electrician licence, ELC.0182146-E1, under Robert A Mauborgne Jr.
Typical your area range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Get Electric. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
Standard receptacle swaps — a new dedicated circuit is a bigger job ($350–$750).
Flush mounts, pendants, chandeliers — hung on existing boxes.
Estimated range
$530 – $1,100
Typical electrical project around $820
Not exactly sure how I came across Rob but I'm glad I did, I found out his family's been in the business for many many years and it shows. Rob checks all the boxes, prompt, courteous, says what he does and does what he says. It's refreshing to find someone who's more worried about the job than anything else.
Do yourself a favor and.....GET ELECTRIC!! I was having some serious electric issues, Rob came in, diagnosed, fairly priced and then resolved all issues. In talking with him I found out he comes from over 50 years of a family of electricians, hard to find that kind of stuff these days. Anyway, I couldn't recommend enough, thanks again Rob.
In these very difficult times it's hard to find someone honest and fairly priced, Rob was referred to me by a friend and boy did he fit the bill. He showed up when he said, explained things thoroughly, and was more than fair with his pricing.
