Working with Gillis Construction was a seamless experience from start to finish. They provided a very fair price, outlined every detail in a clear written contract, and delivered on every single milestone. I was initially worried about how my yard would look after the sewer line connection, but the contract promised to restore the ground as closely to its original condition as possible and they delivered. They filled and leveled the excavation sites and put down grass seed so my grass grew in no time. I couldn't be happier with the results and recommend them 100%!

Gillis Construction did grading and drainage improvements on our property and the difference has been huge. Water used to pool in our yard after every storm and it would stay muddy for days. Since they fixed the grading, the water drains properly and the yard actually dries out. Our kids can finally play in the backyard again without it being a swamp. Clearly a team that understands excavation and drainage.

John and his crew were professional, responsive, and clearly very experienced. They showed up when they said they would, explained what they were doing each step of the way, and completed the job efficiently. It’s refreshing to work with a contractor who communicates well and follows through. They made the whole process much less stressful than we expected.

During the sale of our home in Trumbull, a septic issue was discovered during the inspection process. Gillis Construction was able to install a new septic system before closing and made what could have been a very stressful situation much easier to navigate. They were mindful of our timeline, respectful of our property, and kept us informed throughout the process. Thanks to their help, we were able to close on schedule and move to Florida without having to worry about any outstanding issues. We truly appreciated their professionalism and would gladly recommend them.

John and his team were brought onto our project to add concrete pours and other outdoor recreational space footings following a major renovation inside the home, as well as to address a series of footing drain and overall water table issues that was allowing several inches of water into our basement after every rain event. His perserverance is what really made the difference in me being able to say our basement is dry today.
