I hired Gilmar to install 4 storm doors. 3 were done correctly on the original day and the 4th was to be installed 2 days later. He sent a worker who took 8 hours to do the job and installed the last door incorrectly. I tried to explain to him what the issue was but he spoke and understood very limited English. I sent pictures to Gilmar who agreed to meet me to fix the problem but he never showed up and has not responded to texts or calls. These are photos of the incorrectly installed door with gaps at the bottom that need to be fixed. Gilmar needs to start honoring his word and fully completing the jobs he was hired and paid to do. I would not recommend him to anyone!
Stay Away from Gilmer if You Don't want to Ruin your Property! During my initial service inquiry, Gilmer promised he could properly replace my kitchen hood and dishwasher. However, on the day of service, he sent a representative that damaged my floors and kitchen circuitry while replacing the old appliances with new ones. After spending nearly 6 hours on the tasks, he couldn't get the appliances to work. Gilmer asked me to pay him for the hours worked and promised to stop by to fix the issues himself, but he never stopped by, and has not been returning my calls nor replied to my messages for two weeks afterward. I am asking for a refund of my payment for service and the damages done to my apartment.
He changed the appointment time at the last minute, which we couldn't do, so we agreed to meet the next day.. he responded to one text, Stated: He was driving, he never responded after multiple attempts. He never showed up ! Just a waste of our families time.. Very unprofessional, I hope the other contractors on Thumbtack are professional. Terrible experience!!!!
