Drywall, paint and a long list of odd jobs around the house: that is what people have hired GL drywall and painting inc for. On HomeAdvisor, the company describes itself as a general contractor with over 20 years of experience in commercial and residential restoration, naming repairs, painting, drywall, flooring, tiling and door trim. A 2024 customer said Jose's team repaired and skim coated drywall in preparation for painting, finished on short notice and left the space very clean. A 2024 customer wrote that Jose and his crew power washed, scraped and repainted the shingles on the north side of the house with two coats of paint, at a very reasonable price. A 2024 customer listed moving and reinstalling a fence, roof cleaning, stone work, building a custom shed, planting trees and building a structure to keep ospreys off the chimney, and said it was all done well and timely. A 2026 customer said they removed old kitchen wallpaper and charged a very fair price. A recent Google reviewer said paint on kitchen cabinets and a deck peeled almost immediately, with obvious lack of sanding and priming, and that it all has to be redone. A customer posting on HomeAdvisor and Angi wrote that Jose showed up with employees hired that same week, that work had to be redone on multiple occasions, and that Jose was unwilling to fix damage unless the customer covered additional payment and materials.

Very disappointed in the quality of kitchen cabinet and deck painting. Paint peeled almost immediately with obvious lack of sanding and priming. Having to get it all redone.
General Contractor Jose employs some deceptive practices. For example, he claims to have a very experienced team that has worked for him for years, but the reality is that he showed up at my site with employees he had hired that same week who weren?t actually experienced. On multiple occasions, they had to redo work because it was incorrect and/or sloppy. Expect to handle the project management yourself, or risk delays due to his employees not having timely access to materials needed to do the work. Also expect little oversight of the work his employees complete, which resulted in multiple disagreements with Jose over the quality of work executed by his teams. Expect Jose to become confrontational when his teams? poor-quality work causes damage to the project, and expect him to be unwilling to fix it unless you cover additional payment and materials out of pocket ? even when the damage or lack of quality was caused by his own contracted teams. On top of that, expect him to add fees
Had them remove old kitchen wallpaper. they were really nice, did a great job, and charged a very fair price. highly recommend!
We had a number of smaller jobs, including repair of a ceiling from electrical work & painting of a few areas. Jose was very responsive, flexible, and completed the job with care. He communicated well regarding arrival time and delivered on quoted work. He was able to even take care of an add to the work scope that I missed when requesting a quote.
Excellent work, very nice people. They worked hard to meet my tight deadline and got it done.
