Glen Thompson runs a one-name construction business out of Longbow Road in Danvers, and the most substantial thing about it is the permit trail rather than the reviews. BuildZoom counts 20 permitted projects under his name, spread across Danvers, Beverly, Peabody, Middleton, Newburyport, Haverhill, Cambridge and West Yarmouth — though only two of those fall in the past three years, both in the $20,000–$50,000 range. The licensing holds up where it counts. His Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, 169104, is active on the state registry. BuildZoom separately lists a Construction Supervisor license, CS-049168, and an older home improvement registration, 111153, which it shows as inactive and at one point cancelled. The active number is the one that governs residential work, but the lapsed one is a fair thing to ask him about. He is also listed as a member of the Danvers Chamber of Commerce. What is thin here is homeowners talking. One review exists, a five-star rating from 2016, and a decade-old rating from a single reviewer says almost nothing about how he works now — which is why there is no rating on this page. Ask for two or three recent references from jobs like yours and call them. If you want a small local shop that has been pulling residential permits around Danvers for years, he is worth a conversation. Confirm the registration number on the state registry yourself, get the scope and price in writing, and ask which of the two license numbers he is working under.

While working with Glen on several projects around the house we have been very please with everything! Shows up on time and works around our schedule! We had our basement floor cemented and leveled and replaced our basement Windows! He has always been very professional. His estimates are very competitive for this area! So far very pleased! Have a few more jobs for him!
