A broken fence section brought one GMH customer back four years after the original installation. In a June 2026 Google review, the customer said a landscaper had damaged the fence; after calling about a small, nonurgent repair, they came home the next day to find it fixed. GMH Fence Company is based in East Longmeadow. It says it has 40 years in business and serves communities across western and central Massachusetts, including Springfield, Northampton, Amherst, Shrewsbury and Leominster. Its website offers free estimates and commercial fencing, while homeowners describe wood and aluminum installations. The company's Houzz profile describes three generations of the Hastie family involved in the business. An aluminum pool-fence customer writing in May 2026 praised both the finished fence and the installers' care in explaining the layout, installation plan and what to expect. Another May reviewer described a premium wood fence installed at their Longmeadow house, praising the price, product and installation. That customer said the process from estimate to completion was professional, with no surprises, and the crew answered their questions. The reviews also describe how crews handled the property while working. A June customer said Juan and his team checked that they were happy with the installation each day and left no mess at the end of the day. In August, another customer credited Juan and Nelson with completing an installation despite hot, humid weather and rocky ground, and described Sonny as friendly and knowledgeable. The Massachusetts state registry confirms that GMH's home improvement contractor registration is active. Google shows a 4.6-star average from 142 ratings. Its BBB page carries an A+ grade. BBB lists vinyl, wood and ornamental fencing among its offerings; Houzz also lists chain-link, split-rail and stockade fencing, along with gates, pergolas and arbors.

Great fence with great service! Sonny was very friendly and knowledgeable. Juan and Nelson did an excellent job on the install despite the challenges of hot, humid weather and many rocks. Job well done!
I had the best experience with GMH, from the estimate to the customer service to the installation. Juan and his team did a fantastic job installing my fence. They were curteous and respectful and wanted to make sure I was completely satisfied each day during installation. My property was treated as if it was their own, never a mess left at the end of the day. I would highly recommend GMH and their wonderful teams!
GMH installed my fence about 4 years ago, and they did a fantastic job. Professional and very responsive! I had contacted several other companies and never even got a call back. Last week, my landscaper had an unfortunate encounter with my fence, leaving a section of the fence broken. I called GMH to see if they could come out some time this summer to repair it, I know it was a small job and not urgent... I was shocked when I can home the VERY NEXT DAY and it was already fixed by them! Amazing! I am a small business owner myself, so I know how important customer service is. I am very impressed by this company. Thank you GMH!
We had a great experience with GMH Fence. We love the aluminum pool fence they installed, and the finished product looks excellent. The two installers were very meticulous throughout the entire process and took the time to make sure we fully understood the layout, installation plan, and what to expect. Their attention to detail and professionalism really stood out. We would highly recommend GMH Fence to anyone looking for quality work and a smooth installation experience.
