Gold Hand is a one-person handyman operation working out of West Roxbury, six years in on Thumbtack, where it takes on the everyday list — furniture assembly, TV mounting, picture and shelf hanging, drywall patching, interior painting, minor plumbing fixes, and appliance hookups. The one review on file is unambiguous: a customer in June 2026 called the work punctual and high-standard, said they'd recommend it to anyone looking for quality work, and would hire him again. Thumbtack also shows a completed background check on file. There isn't much of a track record to lean on yet — just that single rating, and no other directory or a website turned up anything to corroborate it. Worth asking for a couple of recent job photos or references before booking, since the five-star mark currently rests on one customer's word. Gold Hand looks suited to the small, one-off jobs on its list — assembly, mounting, a patch job, a quick fixture swap — provided you're comfortable being an early customer.
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Gold Hand. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
A day rate replaces the task list — usually the better deal once the list gets long.
