Grace Thornton Corporation — GTC — is a general contractor at 85 Essex St in Haverhill. Two things stand out for a homeowner sizing it up: its Google average sits at 2.8 stars across 12 ratings, and the Massachusetts registry shows its home improvement contractor registration, #172168, as expired. Both are worth raising on the first call: ask what is behind the 2.8 average, and whether the registration has been renewed. Then get proof of current registration and liability insurance, a written scope and price, and references for work like yours before anything starts.
