Granite State Wildlife Control works out of Stoneham, Massachusetts, handling rodent and wildlife removal for homeowners who hear something in the walls and want it gone without poison. The company describes itself as a three-person team about two years into the business, and its own profile frames the work as humane, poison-free removal paired with full-home exclusion backed by a warranty. The people who have hired them describe the same pattern over and over: they answer fast and they show up. One homeowner whose kitchen demolition uncovered heavy mouse droppings in the insulation and ceiling reached out in a panic, heard back within half an hour, got an estimate the next day, and had the job finished the following business day in about six hours, with the area isolated and a HEPA vacuum used for the removal and sanitizing. Another homeowner who did not want poison in the food chain said they were offered a workable rat-control plan without it. Reviewers repeatedly single out Matt by name for walking them through what he was seeing rather than just setting traps. Across the whole record the company holds a 5.0 from 21 ratings on Thumbtack, is a current Top Pro there, and has been hired 49 times through the platform. The honest limit is depth of independent record. Everything known about this company comes from a single platform, the written reviews number only five, and they span 2025 into 2026 - a short history for a two-year-old business. Nothing in that record is negative, but nothing corroborates it from a second source either, so treat the picture as consistent rather than proven. The certifications on the profile are platform credentials - a Thumbtack Top Pro badge and a background check run on David Maloney - not a state trade licence, and no registry licence appears in the record here. They are a sensible call if your problem is mice, rats, or another animal in the structure and you want the entry points closed rather than just bait boxes set. Before booking, ask what the two-year warranty they advertise actually covers and what triggers it, confirm who will be on site, and get the scope of any insulation or droppings cleanup in writing. Note also that the on-site estimate is listed at $199, waived if you hire them.

My contractor was starting demo of the kitchen when he found a ton of mice droppings in the insulation and ceiling and didn't feel safe doing the removal. I was a little panicked wondering who to call. I found Granite Wildlife and they were very responsive, getting back to me within a half hour and came out the next day for an estimate. The price was extremely reasonable, I was pleasantly surprised. They came out the next business day and completed the job in about 6 hours. The area was isolated and a HEPA filter vacuum was used. They did a great job with the removal of the dry wall and insulation and the sanitizing afterwards. An all over easy and wonderful experience when I thought it was going to be a huge headache!! Thank you!

We have a rat problem since the pandemic. I do not want to use poison that gets in the food chain. Granite State offered me an effective solution to control them without poison.

Matt was very friendly and professional, educating us about rodents as he set traps, inspected vulnerable areas of our structure and searching for evidence of infestation. The rest of the team was very responsive to all my questions and got out quickly to help assess and mitigate our situation. Would use again.

I have a fieldstone foundation and had a mouse problem. After wasting money on traditional pest control (where they just throw some bait boxes you can get yourself online) I looked for people experienced with exclusion specifically to really prevent bigger issues. Matt came out the very next day after my call. The inspection was very thorough and he took his time - crawled through dirt all around my foundation/porch and attic tight spaces. Provided pictures of problem areas. I appreciated that they did not try to upsell me products and presented solutions that could have the most impact based on my budget. Work was done on time and exactly when promised. They fixed even small mortar cracks, sealed perimeter of entire foundation with the right materials and even roof areas. What you are paying is expertise and labor of how to actually keep pests out. Overall thorough, honest, caring and very hard working. They are a small group but with the right expertise, 2 year warranty and would definitely recommend.
