Greater Boston Masonry And Construction runs out of an office suite on Beacon Street in Brookline and is listed as a member of the Brookline Chamber of Commerce. Its own site copy describes helping homeowners "enhance, repair, and reimagine their spaces" while keeping projects up to code — general contracting and repair work rather than one narrow specialty. Six is the number worth noticing: that's the total count of reviews turning up for this business, spread across five different sites and dated only to 2022 and 2023, with nothing more recent. Google puts its average at 3.7 stars from those same six ratings, and the tone across them lands close to neutral rather than clearly positive — not the deep, consistent praise worth leaning on before handing over a deposit. A few things are worth checking first. BuildZoom's page for this business carries an alert banner, though it doesn't explain what triggered it. The Better Business Bureau lists the company with an A+ letter grade, but that grade comes with no accreditation, no visible complaint history, and no customer reviews on file — and BBB's listing shows a second name on file, "Silverstone Paviing and Construction," alongside the one it's better known by. The name also turns up directly in two separate NBC Boston articles about homeowners who first found their contractor through positive-looking online reviews, which is reason enough to search for the fuller story before signing anything. None of this confirms a problem by itself — a thin review count and an unexplained alert aren't the same as a documented complaint. But between the stale review history, an A+ grade with no accreditation behind it, a second business name on file, and coverage in local news, this is a contractor worth researching further: pull references, confirm the license matches whoever shows up at the door, and ask directly about that alternate name before any work begins.

Not responsive to phone calls or e-mails. Offered a 30 year warranty less than one year ago, now there is no follow-up after spending $18,000. If you are reading as the business, please do be in touch.

They are the worst! They do not honor their warranty. They made several appointments and never showed up even after assuring us that they would show up. I am also reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. Beware! do not do business with them.

Greater Boston Masonry did a wonderful job on one of our projects! They were able to match the bricks excellently. They did a good job keeping the job site neat and clean.

was able to get people that day to start tearing up the sidewalk. He supervised and ensured quality of his crew and work they did.
