Greater Boston Masonry And Construction is a Brookline masonry and paving contractor whose Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration has been revoked by the state registry, and whose listed owner, Joe Connors, is named by Boston-area TV news as the Joseph Connors that Massachusetts police describe as wanted for fraud. In 2023, reporting described Connors taking on a Brookline resident's front-steps repair after the customer found him through positive Google and Yelp reviews. The same reporting says the company's website went offline around the time a Malden District Court warrant was issued for Connors's arrest on charges of fraud, defacing/damaging property, and conspiracy, and that police found only a photo of an Irish license on his phone, no other identification. The Google reviews on file, from 2022 to 2023, split sharply along the same timeline. In 2022 reviews, customers praised clean, tidy work — matched brick on one job, a same-day sidewalk tear-up on another. In 2023, two reviews describe the company going quiet after being paid: one says $18,000 was spent on a job carrying a 30-year warranty with no follow-up since, and another reports missed appointments and an unhonored warranty, with the reviewer saying they were reporting the company to the Better Business Bureau. The state registration for this company is currently revoked, not merely lapsed or expired. Given the reported arrest warrant and the offline website, it isn't clear this business is still reachable or operating under this name. This isn't one to book on the strength of its early reviews alone — the public record here includes a specific fraud allegation involving the named owner and a revoked state license, and that should be verified directly before any money changes hands.

“Shortly after the Greater Boston Masonry website went offline and so did Connors. Malden District Court issued a warrant for his arrest on charges of fraud, defacing/damaging property, and conspiracy at the Cox’s house. According to the Malden police report, Connors didn’t have any identification on him, only the picture of a license from Ireland on his phone.”
Not responsive to phone calls or e-mails. Offered a 30 year warranty less than one year ago, now there is no follow-up after spending $18,000. If you are reading as the business, please do be in touch.
They are the worst! They do not honor their warranty. They made several appointments and never showed up even after assuring us that they would show up. I am also reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. Beware! do not do business with them.
Fast, Friendly, Knowledgeable, and Great Customer Service.
