In a January 2026 review, a homeowner described an accident that damaged their house: Terry came out to assess within hours and had a crew working the next day to protect the structure. Speed shows up again in an April 2026 account — a quote the day after the first call, and the team on site earlier than expected. Based on Prospect Street in Cambridge, the company does masonry, foundation waterproofing and roofing across Massachusetts and New Hampshire, with chimneys, basements, driveways and patios on its list. It says it has been at this for more than 25 years, and its site carries a 2001 copyright. Wet basements and failing foundations are where the specifics pile up. A May 2025 reviewer with an older house on a crumbling rubble foundation had feared it could not be repaired, and wrote that Metro explained how they could fix it. In an April 2025 job, what the homeowner took for a drainage problem letting water into the basement turned out to be something else, and Terry kept the work inside his original quote. A 2023 customer had the mortar in a cinderblock garage repaired, then Drylok waterproofing applied over cleaned-up walls. The masonry side runs from brick walkways to a custom barbecue pit in a June 2025 job and a chimney repair described in September 2025. Money comes up often: a September 2025 reviewer expected to pay more than they were charged, and several others describe the price as fair or inside their budget. Two one-star reviews from June 2026 are about what happens after the crew leaves. One reviewer, who had originally given five stars because repointing significantly reduced moisture in the foundation, later found a few missed areas in a crawl space and wrote that calls, texts and emails asking someone to come finish went unanswered. The other calls the workmanship terrible and the installation of a drain system and brick walkways improper and very expensive, and says the company defaulted on a cash settlement agreement and ceased payment. Set against that, a December 2025 customer whose roofing and flashing job was awkward to schedule — a small job fitted between larger ones, needing a longer ladder than usual — called the crew thorough and good about follow-up when an issue came up after payment, and a July 2025 reviewer with unfilled cracks in some stairs said Metro stands by its work and comes back to finish. A strong call for water in the basement, a foundation that needs repointing, or brickwork you want handled quickly. Put the punch list and the callback terms in the contract before work starts, and agree who you contact — and how quickly they answer — once the final payment has cleared.
