Green Planet Pest Control is a small, Boston-area outfit — Angi lists it in Allston and BBB in Newtonville, so worth confirming which office is current. The company says it has been doing pest work since 2007, run by president Todd McNamara and vice president Colin Hickey, with a staff it says includes a certified entomologist holding Massachusetts licenses in General Pest and Wood-Destroying Organisms. The work people describe most is rodent trouble — mice, rats, and the occasional wildlife call — alongside ant and roach jobs. In a 2023 review, a homeowner who had already struck out with another exterminator said Todd and his crew turned up and cleared a major mice-and-rat infestation that stayed gone for months afterward. A 2021 account describes a tougher case: a two-unit duplex rat problem traced to a corroded cast-iron sewer line, which the crew helped diagnose, sealed off from the living space, and trapped out over several visits. A handful of older reviews from 2015-2016 mention a low-toxic approach — spot-treating rather than blanket-spraying — and one 2016 review credits Collin with tracking down the vegetation letting ants into the house. The written record runs mostly 2014 through 2023, with most of it more than five years old; Angi shows a 5.0-star average across 44 ratings, all five stars, though nine of the visible reviews carry no text at all. A 2023 review flagged a real hiccup: the first technician sent out didn't bring the right equipment and seemed less knowledgeable than the office staff, though the job still got finished without harsh chemicals. An older 2017 review mentions a lost work order that delayed a visit, resolved quickly enough that the reviewer still said they'd hire again. Worth confirming before booking: which office currently handles calls, and that the entomologist credentials are current — Angi notes the license claims are self-reported with no numbers given. For a rodent problem another company couldn't solve, this is a name that keeps coming up.

Prompt and efficient.
The owner and person who coordinated the visits etc were excellent - very knowledgeable and professional and took care of our ant problem. That said the first person they sent out didn't bring the right equipment and didn't seem as knowledgeable. Nonetheless they took care of it and did so without spraying a ton of harmful chemicals in the house which I appreciate. Thank you! Reported cost: $525.
I can't speak highly enough of the work that Todd and his crew do. I had a major problem with mice and also rats. I had been working with another exterminator that couldn't get it done. Todd came with his crew and turned the house upside down and got rid of all the pests. This was months ago, and everything still looks good! No mice, no rats. I ran into another problem with the warranty of my refrigerator, which was voided due to these rodent issues. I reached out and even months after the fact, Todd took care of everything I needed! If you have a pest issue, stop reading reviews and just call them. Reported cost: $1,075.
